Meet Marie-Christine
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) | English and French
Hi, I'm Marie-Christine.
I believe healing happens when you can finally take the mask off. You deserve a space where you can be fully yourself and feel accepted, with someone who brings real empathy, humanity, and clinical skill.
Who I work with
I work with adults, teens, and couples who are carrying a lot: anxiety that won't switch off, a low mood that's hard to explain, painful experiences from the past, or the grief of losing someone or something that mattered. Many of my clients also come to me wanting to feel more at ease in their relationships, to quiet the inner critic, or to find their footing during a big life change.
My approach
Everyone is unique, so I tailor my approach to you instead of asking you to fit into one model. Together, we'll look at what you're experiencing today, and at the experiences, relationships, culture, and patterns that have shaped you. We'll make sense of what's happening, build awareness of your emotions and patterns, and develop tools that support meaningful change.
Depending on what you need, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I also offer neurodivergent-affirming care.
My background
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, domestic violence, and youth protection. I supported children, adolescents, adults, and families through some of the hardest moments of their lives. That experience taught me to stay steady when things feel heavy and to listen without judgment.

Getting started
You don't need the right words or a clear starting point, just a willingness to show up. Therapy is a space to slow down, be heard without judgment, and move forward with real clarity and self-compassion. If you're ready, I'd be glad to walk that path with you.
