Hi, I’m Tanya
Tanya is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Professional Art Therapist who works with adults, adolescents, and children. She provides an eclectic, trauma-informed approach deeply influenced by Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) during talk sessions and often leaning into a Jungian approach for art psychotherapy. Tanya also offers Written Exposure Therapy (WET), a brief, evidence-based approach that uses structured writing in an effort to reduce symptoms of PTSD.
Tanya has a particular interest in working with adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse. The other side of that coin is supporting children and adolescents as they process difficult situations before they become adults working through unresolved trauma.
While specializing in the use of art as a tool to process emotions and trauma when words fall short or simply are not available, Tanya is dedicated to meeting each client exactly where they are. Whether a session involves deep creative expression or traditional talk therapy, she is committed to cultivating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen and heard without judgement.
